WASHINGTON, Dec. 18, 2014 — Fourteen exemplary women business leaders will receive the nation’s premier award for excellence among Women’s Business Enterprises (WBEs)

bestowed by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) at its Salute to Women’s Business Enterprises gala on March 19, 2015.

The event concludes WBENC’s annual Summit & Salute convening more than 1,500 corporate and government executives, WBEs and members of WBENC’s Regional Partner Organizations (RPOs) at the Baltimore Marriott Waterfront.

“WBENC’s 14 WBE Stars are exceptional leaders who are forging new ways to deliver value to their customers and their communities,” said Pamela Prince-Eason, President and CEO of WBENC, the nation’s leader in women’s business development. “They illustrate the powerful contributions that women’s businesses make to the economic growth of this nation.”

The 2015 WBENC WBE Stars are selected by WBENC’s 14 RPOs, which process WBENC’s world-class certification of WBEs, in addition to providing skills- and business-building programs in their respective regions.

Inspired by WBENC’s theme “Join Forces. Succeed Together.” the Summit & Salute is designed to drive business development and collaborative success among WBENC’s Corporate and Government Members and WBEs. Sponsored by Accenture and EY, the two-day event provides vital access to the thought leaders, business intelligence and senior-level networking opportunities that enable sustainable growth for WBEs.

WBENC is presenting a robust suite of workshops on key industry specific topics for WBE business growth featuring executives from WBENC’s America’s Top Corporations for 2014. Additionally 1:1 MatchMaker Meeting opportunities and roundtable Meet & Greet are available during the Procurement Opportunity Connection for WBENC-Certified WBEs.
