The mission of the Texas A&M International University (TAMIU)'s Department of Career Services is to assist highly diverse potential, current and former students to identify, explore, select and enter career programs and employment opportunities.

As a truly an international university, Texas A&M International University attracts students and faculty from all over the world. Only miles from the Rio Grande River, the international boundary between Mexico and the United States, the Laredo campus and community is a largely bilingual and bicultural home to people of all backgrounds.  A member of the Hispanic Association of Colleges and Universities (HACU), TAMIU is a fast growing university with a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs in liberal arts and sciences, education, business, and fine arts.

Also a member of the Texas A&M University System, TAMIU acknowledges a commitment to prepare students for leadership roles in their chosen profession and in an increasingly complex, culturally diverse state, national and global society who can serve in various fields of international importance.

The Department of Career Services offers students and alumni include a wide range of career exploration and job search services, including:

Publicly available for download online on its website, and by distribution to students and alumni, the Department's Career Connections e-newsletter contains informative original and reprinted articles on career advice and job search topics, as well as profiles of employers and business leaders, Center staff, students and successful TAMIU alumni.

The Department also provides local, national and international employers access to its unique group of students through both on-campus and off-campus arrangements. For example:

On-Campus Recruitment  Allows qualified students to interview with companies, agencies, and school systems which recruit on campus each year. Company information, interview dates, and sign up sheets are available in Career Services. Interview rooms are available at employer request. To reserve a date to interview on the campus register on Dusty Works!

Career Expo This Spring recruiting event is for employers who are seeking future employees or interns.  It is an opportunity for students, alumni and/or Laredo community members to explore career options related to their academic studies. This event is also a great way to communicate with TAMIU students, alumni and/or to the Laredo Community.

Position Announcements The Department posts announcements of full-time, part-time, temporary, and internship positions, and circulates this information via the weekly Career Corner, our weekly newsletter. In addition, employers can post positions, create resume packets, and schedule interviews through Dusty Works! Students can register resumes online and submit them to employers with immediate hiring needs.
