4-H YOUTH DEVELOPMENT EDUCATOR (100%) – TAYLOR COUNTY

Job Description
As a faculty member of the University of Wisconsin-Extension, Cooperative Extension, employed with Taylor County, the 4-H Youth Development Educator is an educational leader in teaching, accessing and applying research findings in the social, human and behavioral sciences. The 4-H Youth Development Educator takes a scholarly approach in organizing community resources in support of the inclusive positive development of youth, especially in the areas of leadership and civic engagement.

4-H Youth Development programming in Wisconsin has a dual focus. It provides inclusive educational programs for youth through 4-H community clubs. While local 4-H community clubs are Extension’s fundamental model for youth programming, other models of direct youth development programming are also utilized. The second area of focus for
4-H Youth Development personnel is in the area of youth development leadership for communities.
