Director, Academic and Research Computing – Houston, TX
Job Description
The Director of Academic and Research Computing provides leadership for the application of information technology systems to teaching, learning, and research. Implements the overall strategic and tactical plans for the development and support of the University’s user constituencies, including student, faculty, and staff, with special attention to establishing and enhancing programs that support technology use in teaching and learning and in research. This position reports to the Vice Provost and plays a key role in technology planning and coordination across campus.
Prior experience supporting academic and administrative users in a decentralized university environment is strongly preferred, including an understanding of decision making and leadership within an academic university environment (research university preferred).
