LUMBUS, Ohio (AP) _ State officials say a new online service is now available to help match employers with Ohio veterans looking for jobs.
The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services announced Thursday the launch of the Veterans Business Support Center on the OhioMeansJobs website.
The online support center helps employers find veteran candidates for jobs, screen resumes and learn about hiring incentive programs and veteran demographics in their area. Employment specialists who are veterans themselves will provide assistance to employers.
Ohio Department of Job and Family Services Director Cynthia Dungey said in a statement that employers often say they would like to hire veterans, but don’t know where to find them. She says the online veterans support center helps bridge that gap.
