Senior Specialist, Digital Content and Social Media Are you a stand-out researcher/reporter/writer with a flair for the digital medium? Do you have an intense passion for communicating in the multi-platform digital space? Have you ever helped drive, manage and execute work in tight timelines, while fostering cross-team collaboration? If so, we’d like you to consider this opportunity to join Montefiore Medical Center’s talented and innovative team of marketing and communications professionals. We’re looking for a person with the ideas and understanding needed to take a role in the execution of our digital content and social media strategy designed to grow Montefiore’s digital footprint in 2013 and beyond. Our new Senior Specialist, Digital Content and Social Media will have a key role in taking our digital properties to the next level. He/she will be expected to: 1) deliver high-quality digital content for the Web and social media platforms; 2) take an active role in content management; 3) serve as a community manager for various social media platforms; and 4) have the energetic and upbeat attitude needed to communicate with various people and personalities; and 5) understand what it means to manage a project from start to finish with a focus on results.
This position: • Reports to and works closely with the Manager, Digital Content and Social Media; • Collaborates with and works as a part of the Marketing and Communications Web team; • Ideates and consults with stakeholders throughout the organization to suggest and development digitally-focused solutions to their communications/marketing needs; and • Partners with a team of Marketing Strategists to execute high-quality deliverables. Ideal candidates have:
• Solid interviewing/writing/editing skills; • Demonstrated history of digital content production (healthcare experience is a plus); • Knowledge of content management systems; • Understanding of social media best practices; • Talent for identifying and repurposing content from various sources for the digital medium; • Experience creating content calendars and producing audience-specific content for the Web and various digital platforms; and • Fluency with balancing, evaluating and improving work processes.
