CAMDEN, Ark. (AP) _ The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has selected the city of Camden to receive a $200,000 grant to support workforce development and job training.
The Environmental Workforce Development and Job Training grant announced Monday will be used to help recruit, train, and place individuals in jobs that address environmental challenges in the Camden area.
The grant is part of $3.6 million awarded across the U.S.
Camden officials plan to train 45 students and place 36 graduates in environmental jobs. The city is targeting unemployed and underemployed residents of Camden and surrounding counties in southern Arkansas
