Hip Hop Global Media & Entertainment to Manage Youth Media Education Program and TV Studios Producing Content for its Hip Hop TV Network Channels, and National TV & Cable Channels. NEW YORK, Nov. 26, 2014 — The Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum (HHHOF) announces that it has a permanent location for its Harlem Pop-Up Hip Hop Museum and its Youth Media Education Academy & TV Studios that is scheduled to open in April 2015.
Hip Hop Global Media & Entertainment has formed a long-term multi-media programming, brand expansion, and educational partnership with the HHHOF. It will create the curriculum and manage the program and the Harlem TV Studios with its state of the art digital video, media, and audio equipment for youth and professionals to produce real content for the Hip Hop TV Network Channels, National TV and Cable Channels.
‘It is great for us to maintain an educational base of operations in Harlem as our Hip Hop Hall of Fame + Museum’s building will be in Midtown Manhattan adjacent to Time Square and is expected to take 18 to 24 months to complete construction starting in 2015,” stated HHHOF Chairman JT Thompson, the creator of the Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show that aired on BET in the 90’s that just returned to national television airing in November 2014 on the Soul of the South TV Network during Hip Hop History Month.
The HHHOF will also launch a ‘KickStarter Fundraising Campaign’ for the Harlem Pop Up Museum and the Youth Media Education Academy on November 30, 2014 to raise $500,000 for the program, site development, equipment, and operations to enroll 50 youth in the program per year to then expand with peer to peer training with internships and job referral placements over 3 years.
“The 90 day fundraising campaign will feature HHHOF news, announcements, history, and themed content every week leading up to the 2015 Hip Hop Hall of Fame Awards TV Show in March 2015,” stated DJ Lord Yoda X a show Co-Producer. The HHHOF is a Non-profit Museum and Educational Institution whose mission is to Preserve, Archive, Exhibit, Educate, and Showcase Hip Hop Music & Culture from around the world The Pop-Up Hip Hop Museum exhibits will come from the HHHOF and various collections. The goal of the visitor center is to broaden exposure, access, and education to the arts by sharing the diversity of real Hip Hop Music & Arts Culture with children, youth, families, fans, and tourists who may only see videos and hear music on the radio and not know the true elements of hip hop culture. These exhibits will also tour schools, cities, and countries with programs and curriculums that demonstrate how Hip Hop Culture has significant contributions and social, educational, and economic impacts around the world.
