WILLISTON, N.D. (AP) _ More than 1,500 people from around the country are expected at a job fair this week in the bustling oil patch hub of Williston.

The state Commerce Department says more than 60 employers will be at the job fair Wednesday and Thursday to talk about the thousands of available job opportunities in the area.

The first day of the job fair will be dedicated to oil field positions, and the second day will deal with all types of jobs.

Officials with a workforce recruitment program started by the North Dakota Economic Development Foundation will be at the job fair, touting the benefits the state has to offer both in career opportunities and quality of life.

The 2-Day, 2-Fairs Multi-Industry Job Fair is at the Grand Williston Hotel and Conference Center.
