This is a two-year contract position in support of the Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) Audit of the campus.
Under the direction of the Assistant Vice Chancellor (AVC) for Diversity, Excellence and Equity, & Director of the Office of Faculty and Staff Affirmative Action (OFSAA), the Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Data and Project Manager (Analyst IV) will support the Office of Faculty and Staff Affirmative Action’s strategic objective to ensure Affirmative Action /Equal Employment Opportunities compliance. The Analyst IV will assist in managing requests for information, which includes but is not limited to: data coordination & collection, system & process enhancements, project management, and communication.
The Analyst IV is expected to perform the full range of data management and analytical work demonstrated by exceptional technical expertise, independent decision making, high consequence of error for decisions, and specialized knowledge. The incumbent represents/acts on behalf of the Assistant Vice Chancellor in meetings with campus and system-wide managers, OFCCP auditors, external constituents, and the campus community. Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, educational administration, accounting, statistics, or related field, and six years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience with procedures, legal, and regulatory requirements that govern all areas of responsibility; principles of effective program management; as well as research, analysis, and project management methodologies. General knowledge of the principles and practices of a wide range of human resources and personnel functions, including recruitment, employment, classification, compensation, and labor relations, and associated diversity and affirmative action issues. Demonstrated advanced skill and experience leading consulting engagements with a wide range of stakeholders on Affirmative Action/Equal Employment Opportunities requirements. Demonstrated experience developing complex communication plans and briefings; managing and executing projects to achieve successful outcomes; researching, interpreting and analyzing highly technical and specialized data to produce recommendations that inform executive level decision making. Demonstrated ability to effectively use technology to maximize data analyses, storage and retrieval and advanced experience using software applications such as Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and PowerPoint to develop spreadsheets, decision support models, analytical reports, summaries, recommendations, and presentations. Demonstrated advanced ability presenting ideas, both orally and in writing, using a broad range of communication strategies; partnering, collaborating, and consulting with a wide range of stakeholders to implement change, achieve consensus, and influence decision making; analyzing situations, formulating solutions, and making decisions to resolve complex operational issues; recommending new operational strategies, solutions, and systems that support business goals and objectives. Demonstrated project management skills including the ability to organize multiple projects simultaneously and to develop associated schedules and timelines. Skill in handling sensitive and highly confidential information and situations with discretion and confidentiality of administrators, faculty and staff and diplomatic skills to interact in a productive manner with various constituents. Hired applicant must successfully complete a background check through the Department of Justice. Demonstrated ability to set, prioritize, and aggressive commitments to achieve objectives; manage multiple, diverse assignments/projects under time and workload pressures while balancing competing and shifting priorities. Ability to support the development of a campus culture that values and promotes diversity; while maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Preferred Qualifications: Advance degree in business administration, educational administration, accounting, statistics, or a law degree, and ten years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
