Naugatuck Valley Community College, in Waterbury, CT a constituent unit of the Board of Regents for Higher Education, Connecticut State Colleges and Universities, invites applications for the following anticipated openings:

Full-Time Tenure-Track 10-Month Faculty positions beginning Fall 2014:
Assistant Professors in the following disciplines: Automated Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Robotics/Mechatronics Engineering and Nursing.
Instructors in the following disciplines: Art, Biology, Business Management/Marketing, Dance, English, Mathematics and Theater.

Full-Time 12-Month Management position:
Dean of Student Services – is responsible for providing leadership, vision and management for student support services for all students – credit and non-credit, full and part-time. The Dean assures effective and cost efficient means are used for attracting and retaining students.

Full-Time 12-Month Administrative positions:
Director of Library Services – manages a full range of learning resources serving a diverse community of students, faculty, and citizens. Responsible for the essential areas of effective delivery of library services; development and organization of the library’s resources; evaluation, training, development and direction of library staff; budget, fiscal and facilities management, and library assessment and evaluation.
Diversity Recruitment, Advising and Retention Specialist – responsible for recruiting, advising and providing the assistance needed by the students to assist them in attaining academic achievement commensurate with their capabilities through effective performance in the essential functions of advising and academic support; student retention advising program development; outreach and student recruitment; multicultural affairs coordination and coordination of the Women’s Center.

Full-Time 12-Month Grant Funded Administrative positions:
Bridge to College: Program Director/Gear Up – responsible for achieving the Gear Up grant program’s goals and objectives through effective performance in the essential areas of grant and program preparation, administration and evaluation; overseeing budget preparation, maintenance and audits; liaison between the grant program and federal, state and city officials, the public school system, community agencies and businesses; recruit program participants, administration and hiring of grant program personnel; overseeing personnel and assigning them to duties; submission of reports to funding agencies, maintenance of records and tracking data as required.

Full-Time Temporary One Semester (January 21 – June 1, 2014) Faculty position:
Full-Time Lecturer (Mathematics)

Part-Time positions:
Part-Time Nursing and Allied Health Clinical Staff (Radiologic, Respiratory, Physical Therapy Assistant)
