Job Description
1. Represent and promote Faulkner State Community College.
2. Assist potential students with the application and financial aid process.
3. Conduct presentations in area schools, businesses, and at community events.
4. Schedule and host college tours for potential students
5. Coordinate opportunities for area students to attend special events at Faulkner State
6. Develop and maintain partnerships with agencies and organizations affiliated with the local community
7. Monitor enrollment processes at the College
8. Maintain detailed records and enter potential student data on a daily basis
9. Regularly engage in professional learning activities and actively seek information about developing trends and ideas
10. Travel to area schools, appropriate related opportunities and public locations to seek and recruit potential students
11. Demonstrate the highest standards of confidentiality, ethics, loyalty, honesty and integrity
12. Establish and maintain positive working relationships with other administrative, faculty and staff personnel
13. Understand your role as an advocate for our students in the context of our mission, vision, values, and our policies and procedures
14. Maintain professional expectations with regards to general office management, institutional processes, organizational skills, and demeanor (time-management, proofreading, independent correspondence, customer service, positive attitude, etc.).
15. Use technology effectively for word processing, record-keeping, instructional applications, electronic communication, information, and data management
16. Use standard office equipment effectively which may be required to complete your responsibilities. Examples include fax machines, scanners, copiers, and calculators
17. Have high regard for the importance and accuracy of data associated with work-related processes
18. Demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills to include but not be limited to preparing accurate reports from varied information and communicating job-related topics in interpersonal or presentational settings
19. Understand and follow advanced written and verbal instructions to include but not be limited to institutional and departmental policies and procedures, guidelines
20. Work well under pressure and with others to meet deadlines and to facilitate the appropriate flow of information across the institution
21. Maintain office confidentiality.
22. Comply with policies of the State Board of Education, the Department of Postsecondary Education, and the College
23. Participate on division, College teams and task forces, professional development, compliance, performance excellence and ethics training activities as required
24. Utilize processes that are consistent with expectations associated with our institutional
effectiveness efforts
25. Serve on college teams/committees as assigned or invited
26. Regularly engage in professional learning activities and actively seek information about developing trends and ideas
27. Demonstrate basic customer service skills to include but not be limited to phone etiquette, assistance with problems, service-related follow-up, and caring attitude and disposition
28. Assist in planning, organizing and executing student recruiting related activities to include campus tours, fairs and special events
29. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
