Administrative Assistant I Science Research Coordinator – JSHS
Employment is with The Research Foundation for The State University of New York, a private, nonprofit, educational corporation that administers sponsored program activity for the University at Albany.
Description of Duties: This position requires multitasking, data entry, event planning/coordination, and interaction with customers of the University in the High School/Science Research Program. Clerical assistance and office management are also required. Additional duties include answering phones, greeting customers, copying, filing, scanning, and distributing mail.
Minimum Qualifications: This position requires a high school diploma and 2 years of data entry experience. The incumbent must be able to work autonomously. The incumbent must also have strong communication skills. The incumbent must be organized and possess superb writing skills. Applicants must address in their applications their ability to work with a culturally diverse population. The incumbent must have past experience coordinating special events.
Preferred Qualifications: IAS/PeopleSoft Experience and a bachelor’s degree from a college or university accredited by the US Department of Education, or an internationally recognized accrediting organization are preferred.
