Position Summary:

Under the dual supervision of the Executive Director of Marketing & Communication in Enrollment Management and Student Affairs, and College of Social Science and Humanities marketing leadership, the Marketing & Enrollment Manager is CSSH’s centralized marketing contact and enrollment manager for graduate programs.
This individual will be responsible for developing annual program- and audience-specific marketing plans and tactics to generate interest and demand for the designated portfolio of graduate programs, being delivered in a variety of formats including online and blended coursework. The development of marketing plans will support CSSH’s strategic vision, new student enrollment goals, and key program start dates. Marketing plans should incorporate an integrated mix of appropriate mediums (such as online/web advertising, search engine marketing, direct mail, radio, social media, web content, etc). Additionally, the Marketing & Enrollment Manager will develop marketing collateral in support of recruiting and marketing efforts for CSSH’s portfolio. Content for this collateral will be developed in concert with departments and the CSSH Graduate Office. The Marketing & Enrollment Manager will be responsible for executing, tracking, and reporting on these plans throughout the year. The position will require ongoing development of new lead generation strategies and marketing approaches to promote the College’s brand and build enrollment in designated programs. The Marketing & Enrollment Manager will have an in-depth knowledge of the University’s CRM system, and will maintain the communication flows for the designated programs.
The Marketing & Enrollment Manager will work collaboratively with the Associate Vice President of Enrollment and the designated College’s enrollment staff to understand enrollment goals and to develop lead cultivation strategies that will meet those stated goals. The Marketing & Enrollment Manager is responsible for contributing to the conversion of qualified leads to applicants. He/she will also be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to contribute to a successful yield of newly admitted students.
This position will be responsible for monitoring budgets and production timelines to ensure each initiative is accomplished within the appropriate parameters. The Marketing & Enrollment Manager is responsible for managing vendor relationships and business processes related to the execution of all communications. Specifically the Marketing & Enrollment Manager will interact with University Marketing and Communication, Enrollment Marketing Team and CSSH’s Senior Writer as well as external vendors to ensure consistent messaging in all external communication. The messaging will align with CSSH and department messages. The Marketing & Enrollment Manager will be supervised through a dual reporting role within the College and the University’s central enrollment management unit. The successful candidate should assume that priorities will be assigned jointly in agreement with both areas, and the College reserves the right to reassess priorities.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred, with five to seven years of marketing or communication experience, preferably in an agency or corporate environment. The ideal candidate must be able to handle complexity in a fast-paced environment. He/she must possess excellent writing, organizational and interpersonal skills; strong initiative; ability to think creatively and work under tight deadlines. Experience working with lead generation strategies is a must. Higher education experience is preferred including knowledge of recruitment and conversion strategies. Proven ability to work independently, excellent communication and presentation skills, multimedia knowledge and supervisory abilities required.
