The office of Education, within the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of New Mexico, is seeking a full-time Sr. Medical Residency Coordinator. The Office of Education is responsible for the development and coordination of education activities that involve the Department of Internal Medicine. The Department is a key component in the teaching of the School of Medicine’s nationally recognized innovative curriculum and Top Ten recognition of the nation’s best Primary Care programs.

Under general supervision this individual will coordinate the administrative aspects of a large and/or unusually complex medical residency program, typically exceeding 60-80 residents and typically encompassing a multiplicity of sub-specialties. Coordinates the recruitment, intake and provision of administrative services to residents; oversees the establishment and maintenance of clinical rotation schedules, both on- and off-site, and the recruitment of internal and/or external sites and preceptors, as required. Participates in the development and implementation of new residency programs, as appropriate. Provides associated administrative services to faculty. May also coordinate and administer a 4th-year medical student program.
